Thanks largely to the growing discontent with unions and their declining services afforded to Prison Officers, the Australian Prison Officers Association is experiencing growth in the Premier state.

The Australian Prison Officers Association, recruitment officers have been experiencing a rush of calls to join this month as our membership continues to grow.
Â
For us though, it is not about amassing the greatest number of members to gain any advantage over another entity, boss or bully (although that seems inevitable), for the Australian Prison Officers Association, our goal is amass the greatest reputation for the single source of truth, information and comprehensive database to use for the advancement of our members' interests in matters concerning their welfare and employment.
Â
Naturally, this will include a single public voice for all members throughout Australia, free from political or other improper influences which serve only to distract from serious welfare and workplace issues of concern to members if the Australian Prison Officers Association and those in kindred callings we embrace as our colleagues and Associate Members, such as Security Officers, Investigators, Police, Watch-house Officers, Youth Detention Officers, Immigration Officers and Border Patrol Officers.
Â
The model worked well in the UK and it serves as the shining example of what can be achieved for the common good when the right motivations are pushed to the forefront of advocacy on behalf of a membership.Â
